As a Director of Architecture at JPMorgan Chase within Home Lending Architecture, you will lead the strategic direction and design of systems and user experience architecture for our digital platforms.

You will guide a high-performing architecture team, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to build consensus and translate product visions into scalable, resilient, and cost-effective technical solutions.

Your role will involve defining and driving the technical target state and strategy, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards, participating in architecture governance, and evaluating new technologies to enhance product quality and operational stability.

Additionally, you will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, offer guidance to development teams, and foster innovation through creative problem-solving, automation, and vendor evaluations to continuously improve our systems and processes.

Job responsibilities


* Lead the high performing architecture team.

Engage with Product and Engineering leaders to bring consensus on the designed architecture.


* Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs.

Defines the technical target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategy


* Convert product ideas and visions into tangible architecture.

Architect scalable, resilient, cost-effective solutions based on modern technologies and frameworks.


* Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX/UI designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.


* Ensure all applications adhere to industry-standard security best practices and compliance requirements.


* Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.


* Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the development process and product quality.


* Participates in architecture governance bodies.

* Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems


* Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems


* Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information
