Work Schedule :

Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift.

Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, no weekends required.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay : Pay range is based on a full-time (100%) position.

We are seeking a Lead Optician to:


* Oversee and mentor Optical staff.


* Provide direction, coaching and motivate staff to achieve objectives and provide excellent patient care.


* Assist patients with selecting the right fit, shape, style of eyewear and dispense contact lenses.


* Perform eyeglasses repairs and adjustments.

Qualifications



* High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required and


* Completion of an accredited Optician Vision Care Program Preferred and


* Some continued education courses Preferred

Work Experience



* Computer experience Required


* Previous eye care experience Required


* Minimum 1 year or more supervisory or leadership experience Required


* 1 or more years optician experience Preferred


* Lab training or experience Preferred


* Contact lens training or experience Preferred


* Optical lab experience and/or optometric technician experience Preferred


* 1 or more years of work experience with processing insurance claims Preferred

Licenses & Certifications



* Obtain ABO Certification within 18-months or three (3) testing periods from the date of hire, and maintain the certification within 1-1/2 Yrs Required


* American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certification and/or National Contact Lens (NCLE) Certification Preferred
