Assistant Business Office Manager

Johns Island Post Acute is a gorgeous 132-bed skilled nursing and rehab facility in Johns Island SC, just 10 minutes away from historic downtown Charleston.

Our skilled nursing facility is looking for a full-time ABOM to help our business office operations ??.

While your main focus will be in the business office, you'll also help at the front desk ?️ to keep our residents and visitors smiling! ?

? Primary Responsibilities - ABOM:


* Manage day-to-day business office operations, including billing ?, resident accounts ?, and account reconciliations


* Prepare RFMs, SOCs, remits, and other reports ?


* Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations ✅ and facility policies


* Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams ? to maintain accurate records


* Train and support business office staff ?‍??‍?

Front Desk Support:


* Greet residents, families, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner ?


* Assist with phone ? and email ? inquiries as needed

? Additional Requirements:


* Must be available to work some weekends ?️

? Qualifications:


* Proven ABOM or similar business office experience in long-term care preferred


* Strong organizational and multitasking skills ?


* Excellent communication and customer service skills ?


* Knowledge of long-term care billing, RFMs, and resident accounts a plus

Take the lead and help ensure our facility runs like a well-oiled machine! ⚙️?

Receive and follow schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.

Assist in organizing, planning and directing the administrative activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Maintain minutes of meetings.

File as necessary.

Serves as a key representative of the community and makes an active contribution towards community relations, public regard and overall awareness of the community Supports the Administrator, DON & Business Office Manager in administration tasks.

Performs clerical, accounting functions such as cash receipts and ancillary data.

May assist with HR and payroll duties.

Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.

Assist in recording all incidents/accidents.

File in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Assist in administrative studies and projects as assigned or that may become necessary.
