Overview

Attend to the laundry and linen requirements on a daily basis, including moving linen from the linen chute, organizing linen daily for room attendant and houseman requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Manage the linen process of the entire housekeeping department from preparation to deliver to room attendants, to the collection of linen from the laundry chute and the preparation of linen to be picked up by our laundry partner for cleaning.


* Receive all product for the housekeeping department.


* Manage and organize the supplies of the housekeeping department.


* Assist with the loading and preparation of housekeeping carts and storage areas to expedite the room attendant process.


* Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.


* Run washer/dryer locally as required for necessary duties.


* Assist with duties required to support the house attendants and room attendants as required by management.


* Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills


* Working knowledge of linen programs, folding, organizing linen and prepping for housekeeping employees.


* Ability to prioritize and organize work.


* Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.


* Requires lifting bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs.

Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.


* Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
