What is the job?

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor and Chief Engineer, and within the limits of established IHG policies and procedures, you’ll perform a variety of building and equipment maintenance tasks to ensure the Hotel operates efficiently, achieving maximum guest and colleague satisfaction.

Your day to day


* Attend PMM (Planned Maintenance Management) work in guest rooms and update in system.

Repair any faults


* Establish and maintain proper parts inventory levels


* Maintain a clean/tidy workshop and plant rooms


* Painting as required


* Repair walls, doors and other surfaces for painting to appropriate standards


* Be responsible for hotel keys issued for use


* Communicate to leaders regarding any difficulties with service, guest comments and other relevant information; follow complaint handling procedures for prompt resolution of challenges


* Repair and maintain guest accessible areas as directed by Engineering leaders


* Carry a device to respond to any calls throughout the day


* Assist with other duties as requested by the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer


* Follow safe work practices for manual handling.
