As our Lead Support Worker in the Buller Court Mental Health Team, you’ll be right at the heart of supporting customers with complex mental health needs, helping them build the skills and confidence to live more independently in the community.

Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator)


* Supporting working age adults with a variety of needs, including mental health, substance misuse, physical disability, learning disability, and autism, always with a person-centred approach.


* Starting your shift with a handover, making sure you’re up to speed on any changes in our customers’ wellbeing, risks, or support needs.


* Managing your own diary and caseload, delivering support sessions focused on practical life skills like cooking, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancies, and helping customers move on to independent accommodation.


* Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and regular reviews to keep everything on track and tailored to each customer.


* Enjoying plenty of cuppas, chats, and catch-ups with colleagues and external partners, because teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of what we do.


* Leading on client involvement, organising customer meetings, and making sure every customer has a voice in our service, because everyone deserves to be heard.
