ABOUT THIS ROLE: 

ContainerPort Group (CPG®) a World Group company, is currently looking for an experienced safety-conscious person to join our family as an Equipment Operator for our brand-new Washington, WV operations! The position is a 2nd shift opportunity with working hours being 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday - Friday. 

An Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating all forms of terminal operations machinery including, but not limited to top lifts, forklifts, and spotters.

Duties and Responsibilities:  


* Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner


* Install liners in shipping containers


* Picture and document any and all container conditions


* Provides daily preventative maintenance checks of equipment as required


* Escalates equipment mechanical issues to Lead Equipment Operator


* Accurately verifies freight for quality and quantity


* Performs cycle counting as required


* Communicates with others appropriately

Education and Professional Experience:


* Previous experience operating yard truck / equipment


* Computer skills required


* Experience with warehouse management systems helpful


* Experience with warehouse RF equipment preferred


* Knowledge of safety regulations
