Temporary Behavioral Health Specialist I

The County of Riverside's Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) seeks four Temporary Behavioral Health Specialists to support the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) at our Harmony Haven facility located in Beaumont, CA.

Incumbents will provide direct support to youth (ages 15-17) in a residential care setting.

This role focuses on guiding youth through behavioral, emotional, and wellness challenges while collaborating with staff and service providers to ensure continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities


* Provide behavioral support and guidance, offering tools for both physiological and emotional regulation.


* Partner with Residential Care Workers (HH staff) to encourage positive interactions, reinforce expectations, and support youth in following their Personal Wellness Plans.


* Maintain regular communication with staff and service providers by sharing updates on youth progress, needs, and concerns.


* Model healthy boundaries and professional conduct in all interactions.


* Assist with de-escalation strategies and ensure timely completion of Critical Incident Reports when needed.


* Review Court-Ordered Case Plans with the Wellness Team to confirm program activities align with legal requirements.


* Collaborate with Social Service Practitioners and other providers to promote coordinated care.

Work schedule: Fridays 6pm-11pm; Saturday and Sunday 3 various shifts 11am-4pm, 3-8pm, 6pm-11pm
