Clinical Research Assistant
The Division of Critical Care at Nemours Children's Hospital Delaware is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to support and expand the clinical research program with in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
The candidate should have at least an Associate's degree, though additional professional education is encouraged, and should be motivated to work with families, children, and staff in a highly collaborative environment focused on outstanding clinical care, education, and research.
The Clinical Research Assistant will join a productive research team that is overseen by a Research Nurse Coordinator and the Director of Research for the PICU.
Primary responsibilities will include working with physicians and nurses to develop and implement clinical research studies, screening and recruitment of eligible research participants, assisting with budget and document preparation, research education, informed consent, conducting study procedures (including some basic laboratory processing of biologic samples), data collection, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
Candidates should have some familiarity with human subjects' research regulations, though professional development in this area will be provided.
Prior experience working in health care is encouraged, though not required.
Required skills include ability to work with children, experience with computer data entry and management, and familiarity with common computer programs, such as Microsoft Word and Excel and Adobe.
Clinical Research Assistants will be expected to pursue and supported in their pursuit of career advancement.
This position requires predominant in-person work arrangements, though some hybrid opportunities are possible.
Work hours will focus on daytime hours from Monday through Friday.
