The Position

DevOps Software Engineer (GenAI)

In line with our Roche Group AI Strategy and our 10-Year Ambition to “Transform our business with data & digital solutions,” we are developing AI capabilities across all levels of the organisation — from EverydayAI, which enhances individual productivity, to Reshape initiatives, which reimagine business processes, to Big Ideas, which push the boundaries of what’s possible in healthcare. 

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer eager to develop and implement AI-powered solutions within Roche's technology ecosystem.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in software development, a willingness to upskill in AI and Generative AI technologies, and the ability to integrate large language models (LLMs) into applications and software development processes (testing, refactoring, requirements management, deployment).

At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration.

For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week.

The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events.

The opportunity: 


* Develop AI-powered applications, leveraging LLMs and cloud AI services (AWS, Azure).


* Collaborate with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and propose innovative solutions.


* Design, deploy, and optimize cloud-native AI and DevOps solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.


* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient, secure, and scalable AI model deployment


* Cooperate with other product streams to diagnose and understand their needs, offering technological consultancy and solution recommendations.


* Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in IT and AI architectures


* Promote the adoption of DevOps methodologies in large-scale platforms and organizations, driving cloud adoption, infrastructure as code, and automation.


* Effectively engage, influence, and negotiate with business and IT partners at all levels, fostering transparent communication during strategy and roadmap creation.


* Share knowledge through workshops, training sessions, and community discussions
