Director, Technical Services - IT

Overview (What is this role? What are we looking for?):

The Barber National Institute is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Technical Services to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide technology systems.

This role oversees network infrastructure, telecommunications, server environments, and hardware operations across all service lines and locations.

The Director will play a key role in IT strategic planning, cybersecurity, and the deployment of innovative technology solutions that support organizational growth and operational excellence.

A typical day-to-day may include (Responsibilities): 


* Leading and mentoring the IT technical team in the support and deployment of technology solutions. 



* Overseeing network, server, and telecommunications infrastructure across all locations. 



* Managing vendor relationships and coordinating technology implementations for new business initiatives. 



* Ensuring high levels of customer service and timely issue resolution. 



* Developing and maintaining the Enterprise Disaster Recovery Plan and conducting periodic testing. 



* Monitoring and enforcing cybersecurity protocols and educating staff on emerging threats. 



* Maintaining accurate inventory of hardware and infrastructure components. 



* Managing purchasing and budgeting for IT hardware and infrastructure. 



* Collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure secure data transmission and cloud services. 



* Staying current with industry trends and regulatory requirements. 

  

What you’ll have (Qualifications): 


* Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field with 5 years of prior management experience or;  



* Associate’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience. 



* Minimum of 5 years of management experience in IT operations. 



* Expertise in project management, network systems, and enterprise infrastructure. 



* Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and communicate across departments.



* Strong decision-making and business acumen.
