Overview
Position Overview:
The Task Force Business Development Sales Manager is responsible for driving new revenue opportunities and expanding market share for assigned hotels through proactive outreach, strategic prospecting, and relationship development.
This role focuses on identifying and converting high-value group, corporate, and catering opportunities while also strengthening relationships with key accounts to achieve or exceed property and portfolio sales goals.
The position requires flexibility, with approximately 25% travel to assigned hotels to execute on-property sales initiatives and 75% remote work to manage business development efforts, prospecting, and follow-up activities
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Prospecting
* Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across group, catering, and corporate market segments.
* Conduct targeted prospecting via outside sales calls, virtual outreach, networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences.
* Develop creative strategies to penetrate new markets and re-engage lapsed accounts.
Sales & Revenue Generation
* Achieve or exceed portfolio sales goals, lead conversion rates, and revenue targets.
* Maximize revenue by effectively selling all facets of the hotel to prospective clients, both in person and virtually.
* Leverage market data, competitive intelligence, and brand resources to position hotels effectively.
Client Relationship Management
* Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers, planners, and organizations to ensure repeat business.
* Conduct site inspections, presentations, and client entertainment in alignment with sales strategy.
* Maintain high service standards to ensure strong client satisfaction and positive word-of-mouth referrals.
Collaboration & Execution
* Partner with on-property teams to execute sales initiatives and ensure seamless hand-off of booked business.
* Support hotel sales leaders with targeted sales blitzes, lead follow-up, and special projects.
* Ensure all leads, communications, and proposals are documented accurately in sales systems.
Market & Portfolio Support
* Represent multiple properties within the HEI portfolio as assigned, adjusting sales strategy to each market.
* Participate in portfolio-wide initiatives, sales missions, and strategic marketing efforts.
