Production Planner/Scheduler I
Job Summary:
The Production Planner/Scheduler works to achieve operational targets within the production scheduling function, supporting the overall achievement of departmental goals.
Operating within a defined scope and under close guidance, this role coordinates the scheduling of production activities, monitors workflow, and assists with inventory management to ensure timely and efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
* Support the creation and maintenance of production schedules based on established plans and customer requirements.
* Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to track material availability and resolve scheduling conflicts.
* Monitor work orders and update relevant systems to reflect status changes and progress.
* Assist in identifying and reporting scheduling issues or bottlenecks to senior team members.
* Prepare and distribute daily or weekly scheduling reports as directed.
* Ensure data accuracy within planning and scheduling tools.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities related to production planning processes.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Basic understanding of production processes and workflow in a manufacturing or technology environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and develop.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
* 0-2 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related entry-level operations role.
