Wealth Management Trusts and Estates Tax Analyst

Are you ready to make a difference in Wealth Management? As a Trusts & Estates Tax Operations Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting trust and estate professionals in managing fiduciary tax reporting obligations.

This position offers the opportunity to apply your tax technical expertise and collaborate with internal teams and external clients and vendors.

As a Trusts & Estates Tax Operations Analyst within the global trust and estate teams, you will conduct comprehensive reviews related to tax implications and filings.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams and the firm's third-party accounting firm to assess tax returns, closing memos, generation-skipping tax impacts, and significant event implications.

Job Responsibilities:


* Collaborate with internal teams and third-party accounting firms on closing accounts for tax implications.


* Review income and transfer tax returns prepared by third-party accounting firms for accuracy and compliance (e.g., 1041, 990, 5227, 706, 706-GST).


* Review governing documents to ensure tax attributes are correct.


* Identify and execute on automation opportunities.


* Conduct ad hoc research and projects as required.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:


* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.


* Superior written and verbal communication skills.


* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.


* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.


* Willingness to work beyond core business hours as needed.


* Risk and control mindset.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:


* Knowledge of IRS requirements preferred.


* Interest in the nuances of tax regulations and their impact on internal processes and client interactions.
