Infrastructure Inspector

Primary Function:


* The Infrastructure Inspector will observe and coordinate the enforcement and application of various codes, ordinances and technical specifications for water, wastewater, storm water infrastructure, traffic, ITS, facilities and paving systems, to assure conformance with plans and specifications.

This person will be responsible for daily field reporting, tracking contractor’s installed quantities, witnessing tests, documenting test results and serving as liaison between engineer, contractor, and adjacent residents and businesses.

Primary Duties:


* Typical projects involve the construction and/or rehabilitation of public building facilities, bridges, roadways, parks, municipal water, wastewater, storm drain and dry utilities and other infrastructure using various construction methods


* Will inspect the construction of water and wastewater treatment structures and equipment installation, as well as mechanical and structural rehabilitations


* Performs inspections, identifies problem areas and recommends solutions


* Researches and Interprets engineering drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, and construction details 


* Applies knowledge of structural concrete and reinforcement, asphalt pavement installation, site drainage, and building/architectural construction 


* Performs record keeping activities to maintain filing system, reports and documentation.


* Provide Daily reports according to Owner’s or Ardurra’s standards, typically electronically


* Coordinates with Client, Testing Lab and Contractor(s).


* Receives direction from Programs & Construction Manager or Inspector.


* Must be able to visually observe and differentiate details and colors of objects, recognize sound, tone and pitch; adjust to interruption and changes; work in hot, cold, and noisy work areas; stand, walk and sit for extended periods; climb stairs and ladders; deal with people in tense situations, and lift up to forty (40) pounds.


* Must have valid State Driver’s License and carry applicable State mandated auto insurance


* Must have dependable transportation to attend meetings or to make field visits on short notice


* Must be willing and available to work all shifts, including rotation, weekend...
