Senior Perishable Gateway Specialist

Join our dynamic Team at DHL Global Forwarding! We are looking for a Senior Perishables Gateway Specialist, within the Perishables Department, at our Melbourne Head Office Station. 

 
Key Responsibilities 


* Manage and support the daily operations of air freight export consolidations at the gateway 


* Ensure all shipments are handled in compliance with regulations and customer requirements 


* Monitor cargo status, identify incidents, and drive resolution quickly 


* Optimise consolidations and bookings for maximum efficiency 


* Liaise with internal teams, global service centres, suppliers, and customers 


* Own documentation workflows — from creation to distribution 

 
What You Bring: 


* 4+ years’ experience in Export Air Freight (essential) 


* Strong knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics 


* CargoWise1 experience (highly desirable) 


* Proven leadership and team management capabilities 


* Excellent communication, decision-making and multitasking skills 


* Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive mindset 


* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
