Utility Worker - Substations C&M - Central

RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Record various information on mobile electronic device and then transmit the data into the Maximo Production System.


* Inspect oil circuit breakers and oil circuit reclosers.


* Check regulators and battery chargers.


* May assist with testing, repairing and painting distribution transformers.


* Perform snow removal, plowing, and shoveling at transmission substations, distribution substations, and communication sites.


* Perform minor maintenance in substation.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:


* High school diploma or equivalent

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:


* Two years or more experience with substation equipment.
+ Preference may be given to those who have a minimum of two years of work or schooling in basic electricity.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:


* This position will report regularly in person to Duluth, MN


* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.


* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.


* Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.


* In areas that require entering mines, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) training may be required.


* This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:


* The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $40.27 - $44.74.

Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, and experience.
