Volunteer Services Program Manager - RUHS

The County of Riverside seeks to fill a Volunteer Services Program Manager position to support the Riverside University Health System - Medical Center, for their location in Moreno Valley, CA.

Schedule: 5/40, Monday - Friday

The Volunteer Services Program Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, planning, managing, coordinating, and evaluating individuals who participate in the Volunteer Services Program (VSP) and the Clinical Observation Program.

The incumbent will also be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the RUHS Gift Shop including inventory management, staff supervision, customer service, and merchandising.

The incumbent will direct subordinates and/or participate in the recruitment, screening, placement, orientation, and evaluations of volunteers.

The incumbent will also manage the application process for the Clinical Observation Program which provides individuals the opportunity to observe healthcare professionals in a real-world healthcare setting.

The Volunteer Services Program Manager will manage three direct reports overseeing retail operations; act as a liaison between the department and a wide variety of community groups including auxiliaries and advisory boards; monitor and track volunteer service hours which may include public relations programs; attend meetings and panels with departmental administration for evaluation of volunteer service programs.
The most competitive applicants will have strong knowledge of public relations, community services and extensive experience in supervising and managing volunteer service programs within a nonprofit or public agency, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting.

Applicants with experience in Salesforce or a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system are highly encouraged to apply.

• Provides ongoing evaluation and coordination of agency utilization of volunteer services to determine effectiveness and impact of the program, and initiates and confers with departmental administration regarding appropriate changes.

• Advises departmental administrative staff of existing volunteer programs and confers with them to determine the need for new volunteer programs and services; develops, promotes, and implements new volunteer programs.
