Job Summary

Proposal specialists support Sundt's efforts to win work by developing compelling, client-focused pursuit and presentation materials.

This position supports the Transportation Group by participating in and leading pursuits for heavy civil construction projects.

Working closely with pursuit leaders and business development personnel, proposal specialists create proposals and presentations that implement project-specific win strategies that clearly present Sundt's value propositions.

This person will be highly motivated and detail-oriented, have strong organizational and proven technical writing skills, and a strong understanding of A/E/C delivery methods and management processes.

Key Responsibilities

1.

Collaborates with internal and external pursuit team members to develop and implement winning strategies tailored to each opportunity.
2.

Reviews RFx documents and develops understanding of the requirements.
3.

Coordinates and occasionally leads proposal development activities using Sundt's standardized tools and processes, including schedules, compliance matrices, and content plans.

Coordinates pursuit-related deliverables (i.e., prequalification materials, Statements of Qualifications (SOQ)/proposals, and presentation materials), with responsibility to write or develop key sections.

Manages proposal design and production process with responsibility for quality, scheduling, and on-time delivery.
5.

Interviews subject matter experts to obtain information for proposals and SOQs.
6.

Assists and occasionally leads proposal kick-off meetings and document review sessions.
7.

Actively participates in quality control process, including performing research or information-gathering as required to resolve issues, and supports efficiencies to improve the overall pursuit process.
8.

Maintains and reinforces standards set forth in Sundt's Brand Guidelines, Style Guide, Pursuit Process Guidelines, etc.
9.

Participates in the ongoing maintenance of Sundt's CRM database, Unanet CRM by Cosential, including data collection and validation.
10.

Maintains pursuit content library and proposal templates to support future responses.
