HVAC Mechanical Service Technician

HVAC Mechanical Technician - Cincinnati/or Dayton, OHPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


* Install heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in commercial and industrial buildings


* Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand system layouts and specifications


* Connect systems including electrical wiring, line sets, and ductwork


* Perform routine maintenance: clean systems, replace filters, check refrigerant levels, and calibrate controls


* Diagnose malfunctions using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment


* Repair or replace components such as motors, fans, thermostats, and compressors


* Respond to emergency service calls, especially during extreme weather conditions


* Ensure compliance with OSHA and Schneider Electric safety standards


* Maintain accurate records of service history, repairs, and parts used


* Handle refrigerants in accordance with EPA regulations


* Utilize tools such as multimeters, pressure gauges, leak detectors, and soldering/brazing equipment


* Work with HVAC equipment including RTUs, Split Systems, Ductless Split Systems, Pumps, Supply and Exhaust Fans


* Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues and recommend energy-efficient upgrades


* Perform off-hour emergency duties and other tasks as assigned

CERTIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:


* 3 plus year's of solid experience


* Required: EPA 608 Universal Certification, Technical School Training


* Preferred: Journeyman License
