Senior Manager - Tendering

Lead as tender manager to serve customer needs to build and defend attractive offers in compliance with SE platinum, golden and silver rules ,SE processes.

He / She work closely with the cross functional teams of Sales, application &engineering teams, operations, procurement and Execution teams to achieve business objectives.

He/ She has to validate customer orders for booking & acceptance, ensure solutions profitability and review with project management post execution.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Build offer


* Understand the RFP/ RFQ / Customer's requirements


* Trigger tendering process and ensure tender progress


* Deploy and adjust answering strategy, raise the Prebid queries


* Develop value proposition


* Bid approvals as per DOA


* Submit the offer intime, client engagements


* Engage into clarification process

Closing & order booking


* Listen to & resolve open concerns


* Perform win/loss analysis


* Transfer to Execution

Risk Analysis:


* Considering all the risk factors(technical/commercial/legal) while preparing and compiling the tender documents to avoid any future liabilities to the organization

Vendor Negotiation:


* Arrange back up quotations from OG/IG vendors, analysis of the quotation and negotiation with them to come out with a winning proposal.

Technical Evaluation:


* Comparison of all technical details mention in tender documents with the product available in the Schneider Product portfolio.


* Technical evaluation of the client requirement as per the tender specification, Drawing, BOM.

Engage with the solution engg team on the solutions defined or proposed


* Techno-commercial comparison of the product with-in the approved makes available in tender documents.


* Proposing client an optimal cost-effective solution as per the client requirements.


* Value Engineering to be done at the time of Bid preparation.

6.Internal networks


* Develop internal support network


* Develop and manage relations with other BUs/ Back offices in SE


* Prepare weekly reports and dashboards

Education: BE or B.

Tech -Electrical / Mechanical

6 - 10 years' Experience in Project Management, Tendering / estimation of UPS, Cooling and Integrated building management systems, Enclosures and Schneider secure power- power & colling products and services.

Experience in Electrical / Mechanical & Automation bidding.

Should have previous experience to network with stakeholders for seamless management of tenders.

Business Understanding: Financial, legal and commercial aspects of tenders, Risks and Opportunities management, Analytical skills, Secure power service offerings, MS Excel (MS Office), Knowledge of T&D market, presentation skills
