Purpose: The Staff Engineer Optical Metrology is accountable for methodologies to test new and existing product characteristics and performance.  Methodology development includes construction, validation, documentation and support of all optical and dimensional test methods.  This position works with product development teams to transfer design requirements into test methods.  They champion optical design and engineering layouts for new system ideas. 

You will:


* Develop optical and dimensional test methods.


* Provide optical consulting to Platform teams.


* Perform optical and geometric analysis of existing and competitor products.


* Work toward the identification, assessment and development of new scientific concepts and technologies.


* Work independently to perform research of a complex nature where analysis of situations or data requires in depth evaluation of various identifiable factors in one or more areas.


* Ensure quality conduct of projects, including design, data summary and interpretation, report and manuscript preparation and review and adherence to applicable regulations.


* Make decisions regarding analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, and arriving at timely technical decisions.
