Strategic Projects - Collection Manager

The Collection Manager has a pivotal role responsible for driving the acquisition and management of critical data resources.

By navigating vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring secure access to client data, this position bridges the gap between organizational needs and intelligence production, enabling data-driven decision-making.

This role is integral to the organization's success by fostering collaboration with internal stakeholders to align data ingestion with analytic goals, while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.

Through clear communication with leadership on project statuses and vendor dynamics, the Information Collection Manager ensures that data initiatives are both cost-effective and impactful, driving the organization's ability to innovate and compete.
Key Responsibilities


* Manage vendor contacts, contract negotiations, and pricing evaluations.


* Identify internal data needs and source appropriate solutions to address information gaps.


* Engage with clients to discuss controlled access to their internal data.


* Coordinate with legal teams to facilitate contract reviews and signings.


* Communicate project statuses, vendor pricing, and relevant issues to leadership.


* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data ingestion supports analytic objectives.


* Design and maintain a data collection plan, including evaluation methodology, routine gap analyses for existing products, and scoping for new product development.


* Design and conduct data source reviews to ensure accurate, consistent, and relevant data that can be efficiently ingested and appropriately utilized in client-facing products.


* In support of the Chief Analyst, conduct due diligence on third-party data providers to discern capability and to maintain consistent and reliable service delivery.


* In support of the Chief Analyst, review qualitative sources to determine their contextual value, analytical rigor, and potential bias.


* In coordination with the technical and AI development teams, support the technical design and scoping of data ingestion as well as the maintenance of data classification applications.


* Maintain understanding of, and document, the impacts of particular data streams on specific analytic prompts; identify gaps and ways to fill them.


* Collaborate with technical and AI teams to design and implement a recurring quality assurance program and a program that uses client interaction data to train our AI models.


* Contribute to live product demos and proof of concepts for our solutions, tailoring each demo to the specific needs and concerns of the potential customer.


* Mentor and inspire project teams, fostering a culture of problem-solving, innovation, and excellence.
