Position Purpose: 

The Electronic Technician performs all maintenance work as assigned by the Maintenance Planner or the Maintenance Lead according to the specifications as outlined in applicable Visual Work Instruction and precision and proactive maintenance techniques.  The Technician performs each assignment using the appropriate replacement parts and coordinates scheduling the work with the Maintenance Team Leader and production leadership as needed.  The Technician performs work to maximize process reliability and minimize negative impacts on production schedules.

Technician is required to complete other duties as assigned.

Under direction of the Maintenance Team Leader, this position will serve as the line lead over maintenance on their shift.

As part of line lead responsibilities this position will be responsible for assessments, corrective actions, investigations, training, etc.

This position will also be a mandatory member of the plant Hazwoper team and will attend required meetings.

Technician Levels & Electives: 

Level 4 – Advanced technician requiring abilities to perform complex maintenance activities, which includes problem solving, critical thinking, and demonstration of abilities to improve processes and equipment reliability.  Understands materials and maintenance activities well enough to train others, to develop and facilitate training to peers or lower level mechanics, and to improve processes.  Process improvement may include developing people, developing maintenance activities, developing work instructions, drawings, diagrams, or more complex parts.  Level 4 requires mastery (Level 3) of all disciplines (Electrical, Energy Systems/Facilities, and Mechanical).  Additionally, the Level 4 Tech is required to develop and coordinate projects with the Level 3 partners and work across shifts to execute those projects.  The Level 4 Tech is responsible for assisting the MTL with training and coordination of training partners at all technical levels, with the assistance of Level 3 partners where appropriate.
