About the role:

Join our growing Commercial Finance team in a newly created role, focusing on the Aluminum commercial and trading controllership.

This is a key position that will help continue to build a high-performing commercial finance team, establish a team pipeline and help unlock value-add projects across the business.

This role will be responsible for performing global profitability analysis, closing routines, as well as support forecast analysis for our core Aluminum products.

The position allows the candidate to develop a breadth of knowledge about the Aluminum segment, and how they interact within the Company’s integrated supply chain.

This role is seeking an agile finance professional who is ready to expand their reach across the Company’s business segments and regions.

The position plays a pivotal role in financial analysis and reporting of quarterly and annual financial results to Finance leadership.

This position requires a results-oriented candidate, innovative thinker, with a continuous improvement mindset and exceptional communication skills, demonstrating the highest level of integrity and trust.

Key Responsibilities:


* Assist the Commercial Finance manager in maintaining a high level of financial control in their commercial and trading entities, with primary focus on the Americas region, ensuring accurate closing and reliable forecast process


* Work closely with Supply Chain and Commercial teams, understanding how Alcoa operates and translating that into meaningful financial reporting


* Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and influence supporting teams for implementation of such initiatives


* Support the monthly and quarterly closing and reporting processes for Alcoa’s Aluminum segment HQ activities, performing critical financial analysis over the attained results


* Support the monthly and annual forecasting and planning processes for Alcoa’s Aluminum segment HQ


* Present forecasts/results to key members of the Commercial Finance leadership


* Be a Finance Business Partner for the Aluminum segment, supporting Commercial and Supply Chain


* Analyze working capital changes and provide insights on key business drivers and working capital strategies


* Drive critical process enhancements across the commercial functions of the business segments through use of automation, collaboration and business insights
