Assists the ADON services in managing and directing the nursing services department.

Provide direct nursing care as necessary.

Make rounds to ensure that nursing personnel perform their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.

Make rounds with physicians as necessary.

Notify the resident's attending physician and next to kin when there is a change in condition.

Delegate to each charge nurse the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform his/her assigned duties.

Resolve complaints and grievances made by nursing department.

To assist in the management and direction of the nursing department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations the govern our ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

As the Assistant Director of nursing, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
