InterContinental Doha The City is looking for a Head Chef to join our team.

As Head Chef, you are responsible for the smooth operation of the entire kitchen operation that includes all restaurants including Club Lounge, Lobby Lounge and banquet event operations. Promote the desired work culture by living the 5 winning ways value – Do the Right thing, Show we care, Aim Higher, Celebrate Difference, Work better together. 

Your day-to-day


* Recruit and manage kitchen and stewarding colleagues


* Be up to date with cooking trends and best practices – for restaurants and banqueting


* Conduct regularly presentations of new novelties, etc.

to stay in line with operational trends


* Evaluate the performance of the assigned team and initiate promotions


* Frequently tour all Kitchen, Stores, and other Food production, dining outlets and related areas to assure highest possible standards, and maintain the well -being of all guests


* Drive together with the Food & Beverage Manager and F&B all extracurricular events in the outlets as per the annual promotions calendar and develop food promotions if the situation requires


* Control the food cost by reviewing and approving all store requisitions and direct purchases and minimize wastage


* Ensure HACCP standards are implemented and follow the appropriate hygiene standards as per Municipality requirements at all times
