Sr. Human Resources Administrative Associate (Part-Time)

Responsibilities

Altec is currently looking for a part-time Sr.

Human Resources Administrative Associate in Birmingham, AL to join our team (29 hours per week).

The ideal candidate will bring energy and enthusiasm to the role, while having a strong commitment to detail, and providing top-notch customer service within a team environment.

This role will provide administrative support within the Corporate Human Resources department, such as support for recruitment and employment, associate records, payroll and benefits administrations, training, and event management.

Job Functions and Key Responsibilities


* Provide comprehensive HR administrative support to Corporate HR Business Partners, Recruiters, and management.


* Coordinate recruitment activities, ensuring clear communication among candidates, recruiters, HRBPs, and internal stakeholders throughout the hiring process.


* Manage pre-employment processes including background checks and drug screenings, tracking candidate progress to ensure timely completion and compliance.


* Schedule and support high-volume interviews, providing logistical assistance to recruiting teams and hiring managers.


* Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system, ensuring data integrity for reporting and monitoring.


* Onboards associates and processes hiring-related paperwork.


* Assist with leave of absence administration.


* Schedule and coordinate administrative aspects of training programs and company-sponsored events, both on-site and off-site.


* Prepare meeting rooms and coordinate catering for meetings and events.


* Serve as backup Corporate Receptionist, covering lunches and vacations-greeting visitors, handling calls, sorting mail, and managing visitor registration.


* Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all HR-related matters.


* Support special projects, process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned by management.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required


* High School Diploma or GED required


* Bachelor's Degree (strongly preferred) or


* Two years applicable experience required


* Excellent computer skills required; Prefer Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or Kronos experience


* Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion


* Team-player who's comfortable working independently and collaborating with all levels


* Organized, tech-savvy with a process-oriented mindset and high attention to detail


* Excellent verbal and written communicator


* Prioritize timely follow-up and follow-through, thoroughness in work product and attention to detail.
