District Attorney Secretary - Division of Victim Services

The Riverside County District Attorney's Office - Division of Victim Services seeks to fill a District Attorney Secretary vacancy in Riverside.

The incumbent will be the assigned secretary to the Assistant Director and Regional Managers, and will perform secretarial and complex clerical tasks of an administrative/legal nature.

This position will interface with executive management, executive assistants from the Board of Supervisors, vendors and stakeholders, and will be expected to foster and maintain professional relationships , in addition to exercising a high degree of confidentiality, initiative, and resourcefulness.

The incumbent will be responsible for preparing memorandums; taking meeting minutes; coordinating meetings and travel arrangements; providing administrative support for grants processing; project management for special projects/programs; prioritizing a workload; onboarding new hires and offboarding exiting employees; high-level task management; basic accounting tasks; creating outreach materials, PowerPoint presentations, flyers, and graphic documents; and perform other duties as required.

The department seeks a District Attorney Secretary with experience in direct support to executive-level staff, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Candidates with knowledge of criminal justice organizations, in addition to proficiency in Microsoft 365 (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Forms) and Canva are highly desired.

About the Division of Victim Services:

The Division of Victim Services (DVS) is a division within the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.

DVS serves as a Victim/Witness Assistance Center pursuant to California Penal Code 13835 and is recognized by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors as the county's primary provider of comprehensive services to victims and witnesses of crime.

DVS is dedicated to empowering victims, to ensuring victims' rights are respected, and to assisting them in navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system with compassion and support.

DVS operates a number of programs that provide ongoing support to victims of crime: California Victim Compensation Board Claims Unit, K9 Facility Dog program, Mass Casualty Crisis Response Team (CRT), Crime Prevention Unit services dedicated to reducing youth engagement in criminal activity, and the community engagement program S.T.O.R.I.E.S.
