Overview
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time Management of Associates
• Responsible leadership of staff members, including; recruiting, hiring, training, and maintaining
appropriate staffing levels for the department.
• Conduct classes, training and in service training for Aquatics staff.
• Develop, implement, and monitor programming and schedules for waterpark operation.
Anticipates
turnover to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Interfaces with the Human Resources department to communicate staffing needs and assist in the hiring
process utilizing HR procedures.
• Permits and encourages advancement for those Associates qualified and interested in career
development.
• Clearly describe and assign responsibility and authority for the operation of the department.
• Works to maintain an efficient, cooperative atmosphere among Associates.
• Ensure all lifeguard certifications are current and all lifeguards.
• Direct the implementation of department policies and procedures.
• Monitors and tracks departmental staff hours to ensure payroll is correct.
• Conduct in-depth analysis, planning, and implementation of utilization data and other inputs.
• Participates in the Manager-On-Duty (MOD) program and executes duties.
• Attends departmental staff meetings and any other meetings as assigned.
• Develop detailed, realistic, and comprehensive plans that support organizational objectives
* Implements strategic cleaning plans for power washing and other tasks as assigned.
• Practices management by walking around to ensure proper procedural practices and service guidelines
are compliant in all aspects of the operation.
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, using tact and diplomacy to defuse
anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflict.
