Financial Analyst Sr

Prepares serviceline analyses; formulates business plans with clinical owners; assists with development of pro formas; leads the hospital in clinical hospital reporting internally; prepares annual reporting for OSHPD; uses all reports available to understand how our health system is performing in relation to our peers and within our market.

Ensures accurate and meaningful data is available and supports Decision Support activities.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum: AA degree with major in Accounting and Accredited Accounting cerifticate or BA degree in Accounting and Finance.

Preferred: Masters Degree in Business, Finance or Healthcare Administration.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: Advanced MS Excel skills.

Experience working with large databases (100,000 Records).

Experience balancing data between disparate systems and mapping data from one system to another.

Preferred: Advanced reporting capabilities, including Excel and experience with specialized reportwriting systems.

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum: Three years of accounting or financial planning experience with fullcharge responsibility that will provide demonstrable knowledge of accounting principles to ensure costs are stated accurately and allocated appropriately.

Preferred: Five years of accounting or financial planning experience with fullcharge responsibility in a hospital setting that will provide demonstrable knowledge of hospital financial operations, reporting and planning
