Principal Architect - Risk Technology

As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Sector of Risk Technology - Limits Management, you provide expertise to enhance and become a driving force behind the development and adoption of cutting-edge, cloud-based technologies.

As a Business & Technical Architect, you're responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient business and technical solutions.

You will provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, translating them into technical requirements, and ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.

* Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection and develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy.


* Establishes and enforces architectural standards and best practices, ensuring consistency and quality across the organization.


* Engages with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.


* Drives innovation by exploring and implementing emerging technologies that provide a competitive advantage and improve business processes.


* Oversees seamless integration of new systems with existing infrastructure and analyze system performance to implement efficiency improvements.


* Identifies potential risks in architectural decisions and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experience


* Experience in financial services and related technology systems.


* Proven experience as a Business/Technical Architect or in a similar role.


* Strong understanding of business processes and how technology can drive value.


* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.


* Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.


* Advanced expertise in one or more programming language(s) and practical cloud native experience.


* Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
