To oversee and manage clinical safeguarding and counselling services within the organisation, ensuring the safety, well-being, and mental wellbeing of service users and colleagues.

The Clinical Safeguarding and Counselling Manager will lead a team of clinical professionals, develop and implement relevant safeguarding programs, and ensure compliance with all applicable clinical standards and regulations.

Salary range - £35,000 to £40,000

Leadership and Management:

o Lead and manage the clinical safeguarding and counselling teams, providing supervision, support, and professional development opportunities.

o Develop and implement comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures to protect mental and emotional wellbeing across the division.

o Design counselling procedures that provide structured support, including confidential counselling services, crisis intervention and escalation processes.

o Ensure both services operate within budget and meet organisational goals.

Clinical Service Delivery:

o Oversee the delivery of clinical safeguarding and counselling services, ensuring they are accessible, effective, and client centred.

o Establish clear protocols for identifying, reporting and addressing mental health concerns, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

o Monitor and evaluate the quality of clinical services, implementing improvements as needed.

Training and Development:

o Develop and implement comprehensive training programmes to educate clinical staff on safeguarding and effective counselling techniques.

o Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and make necessary adjustments to enhance learning outcomes and support continuous professional development of clinical staff.

o Ensure clinical staff maintain their professional development and adhere to ethical and clinical standards.

o Stay updated with the latest developments in clinical safeguarding and counselling practices and integrate the workplace and Maximus Connect services.

Case Management:

o Oversee complex or high-risk clinical safeguarding and counselling cases.

Offer expert, guidance and support to clinical staff, ensuring that all interventions are conducted in accordance with best practice and ethical standards.

o Facilitate case discussions, provide supervision and assist in developing tailored action plans, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of colleagues

o Maintain meticulous and confidential record-keeping of client interactions, safeguarding cases and clinical supervision.
