Purchasing Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:



* Reviews and monitors each purchase order to ensure timely product delivery.


* Manage large amounts of incoming emails and calls from customers and vendors.


* Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.


* Monitor supplier acknowledged dates and manage them in the company ERP system.


* Actively follow up with suppliers to verify dates for critical components.


* Contact suppliers to verify shipment details.


* Work with procurement team to ensure all purchase orders are acknowledged with expected delivery dates.


* Place purchase orders with suppliers as needed.


* Key resource for expediting shipments and other resources.


* Participate in production scheduling to ensure components arrive timely to meet customer deadlines.


* Utilize company ERP and reporting tools to focus on resolving critical component delivery issues


* Respond to inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations


* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


* Bachelor's degree is desired, not required.


* Prophet 21 (P21) experience helpful but not required.


* Experience in a customer service or procurement role is a plus.


* Strong communication skills needed.
