Warehouse Manager is responsible for:
We are looking for a dedicated and organized Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse.
This individual will play a key role in managing inventory, ensuring the smooth flow of goods, and leading a small but efficient team.
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe, productive, and organized environment, while also managing logistics, order fulfillment, and inventory control.
Accountabilities in this role:
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is efficiently received, stored, and shipped.
* Coordinate the unloading, inspection, and proper storage of goods to maintain an organized and accessible warehouse.
* Supervise and lead warehouse staff, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
* Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping processes, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
* Perform regular stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
* Delegate tasks to warehouse staff and monitor their performance to ensure operational targets and timelines are met.
* Track key performance metrics (e.g., order accuracy, shipping times) and implement corrective actions when necessary to improve performance.
* Identify opportunities to improve warehouse operations, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
* Provide regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and any operational challenges or issues.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.
* High School Diploma or Equivalent.
* IATA/IMDG Certification (preferred).
* DOT 49CFR Certification (preferred).
* OSHA and/or PSM Training (preferred).
* Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a warehouse or operations role.
* Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
* Proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
* Experience with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn internal warehouse management systems.
* Ability to adjust to changing business needs and environments, with flexibility in managing workloads.
* Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a focus on achieving operational efficiency.
* A collaborative approach to working with others and fostering a positive work culture.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, with frequent stooping or bending.
* Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools (forklift certification preferred).
