Job Function:                  Materials Management

Job summary:


* Manages and develops work processes that integrate customer delivery requirements into manufacturing plans.


* Coordinates, Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials, timed to meet production requirements/


* Deliver process improvement and cost savings within the PP&L organization.


* Coach the planning and purchasing team in the daily activities and the process improvement projects.


* Act as the Materials Manager’s Deputy in his/her absence.

Duties & responsibilities:


* Meets departmental KPI’s.


* Manages all raw material and finished goods planning processes, tools and systems ensuring policies, inventory targets and safety stock levels are being met, to deliver products according to targets and avoid materials shortages.


* Lead MPS (Master production Plan) execution and control ensuring optimum mix of codes and quantities are scheduled within available capacity and make improvements to the processes.


* Participates and lead meetings discussing production schedules, capacity constraints and new product introductions.

(e.g.

SOP and Tier meetings)


* Look for opportunities and help delivering lead time reduction, process, and cost improvements on an annual basis.


* Drive in collaboration with sourcing cost improvement and inventory optimization projects from the source side.


* Take ownership for PP&L team in Leiden for issue resolution in planning or purchase topics, such as raw material constrains and lead mitigation plans.


* Lead, participate and support projects related to Planning, Purchasing and Warehouse.


* Support cross functional projects related to site and company goals.


* Support new product launches by leading supply chain readiness in collaboration with key functional areas.
