Cybersecurity Action Officer

Maximus is seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Action Officer to join our dynamic team in Arlington, VA.

The candidate will direct processes and staff interaction for a Department of Defense Chief Information Officer office that includes government civilians, contractors, and military.

Work closely with the Director and office leadership to drive innovation, strengthen cybersecurity governance, develop and manage talent, expand enterprise capabilities, and improve product/service offerings.

This position is on-site, five days a week, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage project schedule and work plans and ensure DoD policy requirements are implemented and enforced.

Requires in depth knowledge of industry best practices, CNSS, NIST standards and JSIG.
• Manage project engagements and assist clients with a wide range of innovative and dynamic risk-based services derived from the NIST Cyber Security Framework
• Create tools such as Excel spreadsheets and other databases to compile, track, summarize, and report the status of various documents and projects.
• Create support materials and content for the collective including tutorials, templates, and toolkits• Writing technical documentation for and delivering technical presentations to IT staff
• Oversee office processes to ensure conformance with established guidelines.

This includes task management through SharePoint, Jira tools and CATMS.
• Oversee development and submission of Memorandum for Record, Action Memos or other official correspondence in support of DoD or Interagency principals.
• Ensure conformance with established DoD-OSD guidelines; provide timely feedback and status upon request.
• Perform special projects on own initiative or as assigned.
• Manage and maintain the complex calendars and schedules of senior personnel and resolve conflicting priorities and orchestrate changes to the calendar, as required, that may include coordination, verification, and scheduling of meetings with senior government personnel, congressional members and staff, industry, and academia personnel.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance required
• Minimum degree required: Master's Degree in field related to the tasking (Six (6) years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Master's Degree)
• 12 years of general experience

• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
