Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Cloud Engineer to join our team located in Shockwave Medical Costa Rica.

Our Shockwave Medical portfolio aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview

This role will involve managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud environments, troubleshooting, security management, automation, and optimizing cloud services for performance and cost.

Essential Job Functions



* Administer, monitor, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Azure.


* Deploy, manage, and scale virtual instances, storage, and networking resources on AWS and Azure platforms.


* Configure and manage cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda (AWS), and Virtual Instances, Storage Accounts, Resource Groups, and Networking Availability Zones.


* Implement automation scripts to deploy and manage cloud resources using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and PowerShell.


* Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using cloud-native tools and third-party services.


* Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, security, cost, and availability.


* Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, networks, and virtual instances.


* Set up alerts and notifications for cloud resources using CloudWatch (AWS) and Azure Monitor.


* Configure and manage backup solutions using AWS Backup, Azure Backup, and other cloud-native tools.


* Create and test disaster recovery plans for cloud services and ensure business continuity.
