DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a program specialist for tolling to support a variety of initiatives with our PA Turnpike General Consulting Engineer (GCE) team.
Assignments for this position will support the PA Turnpike executive team and agency staff across each department (e.g., Engineering, Facilities, Traffic, IT, Maintenance, Tolling, etc.) and can be tailored to match the candidate's skill sets and interests.
Additionally, the program specialist will support transportation analysis and programming led under our Harrisburg, PA office.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Work closely with toll agencies and state government to promote transportation mobility, asset management, and community and economic development through long-range transportation plans and related strategic initiatives.
* Support project managers with data collection, analysis, meeting facilitation, and formal presentations.
* Prepare report deliverables that effectively summarize findings and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including peer agencies and national associations, to advance national best practices in tolling.
* Assist with Federal grant application development and administration.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in transportation, community and economic development, public administration, or related role.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as this position requires significant levels of report writing and client-facing meeting facilitation.
* Experience with state transportation and toll agencies is highly desired.
* Four-year degree in Urban Planning, Business, Economics, Public Administration, or related field; Master's degree and American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification preferred.
* Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams.
COMPENSATION
The approximate compensation range for this position is $75,095 to $108,432.
This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
