Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping Coordinator to join our Ashland Specialty Ingredients, GP business at our Kenedy, TX location.

This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function.

This position will report to the Plant Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:


* Responsible for maintaining accurate records of inbound and outbound product shipments.


* Ensure that shipments are ready on time and necessary paperwork is available for each shipment.


* Assist in coordination of transportation and routing for shipments.


* Act as a liaison between Customer Service, Production and Warehousing.


* Maintain reports of daily shipping activities.


* Assist with coordination record retention program activities.


* Create process orders in alignment with production schedule.


* Perform duties in conformance with the principles of Responsible Care and Ashland's Zero Incident Culture.


* Perform duties in accordance with good manufacturing practices.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:


* High School Diploma or GED


* Proficiency with plant MIS software.


* General computer skills


* Good written and oral communication skills


* Be able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision


* Be able to function in a face-paced work environment

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:


* 3+ years bookkeeping or similar experience


* Dangerous goods transportation training
