Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) assists the Director of Nursing Services in managing daily nursing operations, ensuring high-quality resident care and compliance with regulations.

This role involves leadership, staff supervision, and direct patient care responsibilities in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Compliance:


* Support the Director in overseeing nursing operations and policy compliance.


* Maintain up-to-date nursing policies and procedures.


* Participate in quality assurance programs and facility inspections.


* Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Staff Supervision & Training:


* Ensure adequate staffing of licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants.


* Provide supervision, training, and performance evaluations for nursing staff.


* Promote a positive work environment and teamwork.

Resident Care & Safety:


* Conduct daily resident rounds and ensure proper nursing care.


* Oversee medication administration and treatment plans.


* Provide direct nursing care, including IVs, specimen collection, and vital sign monitoring.


* Maintain infection control and safety protocols.

Communication & Coordination:


* Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and other departments.


* Ensure proper documentation of resident care and medical records.


* Address and resolve resident or family concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:


* Nursing degree from an accredited institution.


* Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care preferred.


* Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Licenses & Certifications:


* Active, unencumbered RN license in the state.


* CPR certification (required).


* Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:


* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.


* Ability to work independently and make critical decisions.


* Effective communication and organizational skills.


* Knowledge of nursing regulations and best practices.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:


* Ability to move intermittently and lift up to 25 lbs.


* Exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.


* Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
