Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager

Civil Engineer Project Manager will have an important role in leading and delivering site design, planning and permitting, and construction for a variety of land development and water resource projects through Florida based in our Ocala, FL office.

This role has the opportunity to grow into a regional business Group Leader through thoughtful succession planning and will have a high level of mentorship for professional growth.

Primary Function

Perform a variety of engineering tasks involving design work, research, and preparation of drawings and designs for site layout, horizontal utility projects (water, wastewater, stormwater), site grading and drainage, including permitting and planning serving both municipalities and private clients.
Strong understanding of the environmental and land development regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators and construction administration of public and private land development projects.

Primary Duties


* Gathers data for engineering analyses through phone contacts, written correspondence, and research sources


* Performs calculations using engineering formulas and skills


* Assist or lead the preparation of reports, opinions, and recommendations for the benefit of the Client


* Conducts experiments and data collection with emphasis on data integrity, quality control and protocol compliance; utilizes data acquisition/recording equipment and instrumentation


* Assist or lead the project concept designs and participates in the final project design


* Construction oversight on infrastructure construction and land development projects observing progress and quality of work, writing daily construction reports, reviewing monthly pay requests, and keeping client owner advised as necessary

Education and Experience Requirements


* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other relevant discipline


* PE license in FL in preferred


* Minimum 5 years of directly applicable experience


* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies
Highly self-motivated, able to anticipate and initiate subsequent project tasks, working independently or with minimal instruction
