Senior Field Service Technician

Main responsibilities:


* Install electrical components on customer sites.


* Diagnose and repair troubled equipment at our customers' sites.


* Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.


* Provide estimates of our products and services as required.


* Order parts and track delivery.


* Maintain, repair, modernize and provide technical support for the range of products offered by Schneider Electric in the workshop and at customer sites.


* Provide training sessions to internal and external customers on the use and care of our products.


* Carry out warranty and recall repairs on our products.


* Perform tests, calibrations, adjustments, corrections and verifications on Schneider Electric products.


* Manufacture and commission different types of equipment using tools such as computers and test benches, according to plans and specifications.


* Analyze electrical installations to determine the causes of problems and establish solutions using product technical manuals.


* Participate in consultations with engineering groups to find solutions to customer problems.


* Report customer suggestions for improving product design.


* Implement design changes and support customers.


* Carry out commissioning on various Schneider products according to requested specifications.


* Develop and maintain relationships with customers across Schneider Electric's entire offering.


* Maintain the tools, documentation and equipment provided to carry out the task.


* Write service reports for internal and external customers.

Qualifications and skills required:



* Good knowledge of the application and use of low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment.


* Minimum 10 years' experience in the field.


* College, university or technical equivalent.


* Good oral and written communication skills.
