Associate Designer
Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
• To provide technical solutions and design mechanical, hydraulic and electric systems with direct engineering oversight
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create basic design solutions for existing and new products
• May design model structure/BOM's
• Perform Product Development work such as create and maintain basic drawings, solid models, system schematics, hydraulic and electrical diagrams
• Works directly with other departments on specifications and requirements
• All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Four year applicable degree with one year's industry specific experience (preferred)
or
• Two year applicable degree with two years' industry specific experience
or
• Mechanical Design Certificate ("Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate in Mechanical Design" meets this requirement) plus four years' industry specific experience
• 3D CAD Required (for Mechanical Drafters)
• Basic PC skills, utilizing spreadsheets, word processing and databases
FINANCIAL BUDGETING, CAPITAL, AND/OR MANPOWER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• None

• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Demonstrated record of responsibility
• Extremely detail oriented
• Motivated, goal oriented and persistent
• High level of initiative; work well in a team environment
• Must manage deadlines well
• Works with direct supervision
• Some travel will be required, potentially on short notice, which may include flying
• Ability to work with other team members for direction and support while completing tasks independently
