Lead Structural Engineer - Utility Solar

DEPCOM Power, a prominent Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firm, in the renewable energy industry, is looking for a Lead Structural Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will posses a PE license and have a structural background in construction.

This role can sit in either DEPCOM's Pleasanton, CA, Scottsdale, AZ, or Bedminster, NJ offices.

What You Will Do


* Design all equipment foundations to support inverters, transformers, sectionalizing cabinets and other electrical equipment


* Ensure site specific loading of all proposed solar sites are designed against AHJ local ordinance and ASCE loading requirements


* Provide RFI construction support to all solar projects in parallel and managing consultants


* Work with Procurement to generate equipment technical specifications and material requisitions to ensure equipment meets prime contracts requirements & engineering standards


* Develop Structural Engineering scopes of work based on the conditions specific to each state or AHJ standards


* Participate in contractual exhibit page turns


* Coordinate post mapping deliverables with outside consultants for all projects for post installation


* Assist with developing procedures, processes and standards related to Structural Engineering


* Oversee engineering activities and deliverables during varying stages of design and construction on multiple sites across the country simultaneously


* Develop Geotechnical Engineering scope of work and review existing project Geotechnical Engineering reports

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience


* AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience

* PE License


* Utility Solar and/or Battery Energy Storage experience

For this role, we anticipate paying $130k - $150k per year.

This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
