Mechanical Designer

Your Job

John Zink, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking to add a Mechanical Designer to our team.

This role is based in Tulsa, OK.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities and have a strong attention to detail.

Maintaining a high level of communication through multiple channels will be critical.

We provide solutions to capture emissions, destroy pollutants, manage waste and heat vital processes to help industries operate more cleanly and efficiently.

What You Will Do

• Develop new designs for equipment using Autodesk Inventor.

• Support product enhancements as required by Sales, Project Management, and the customer.

This will include layout, design, and detail of projects following specifications.

• Manage drawings in a data management software (Vault).

Work with engineering and manufacturing to resolve design and fabrication problems.

• Check design packages of self and others to ensure design is of high quality and optimized for fabrication.

• Collaborate with team members to create drawing standards to better improve accuracy, standardization, and time efficiency.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements (Basic Qualifications):

• Previous design/drafting experience OR education in design OR knowledge of Process Heating or Boiler Burner equipment.

• Experience in 3D CAD (preference is Autodesk Inventor)

• Experience reading and understanding technical drawings.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree

• Process Heating or Boiler Burner applications, design, operation, and/or development experience.

• Knowledge of Codes and Standards: PIP, ASME, AISE.

• Experience with data management tools

• Experience working with PLM/ERP software.
