Project Management Office - Summer Intern

Position Overview:
As a Summer Intern in the TECAS Project Management Office (PMO), you will leverage your enthusiasm for data science and analytics to develop dashboards and reports from existing data related to New Product Development processes.

You will engage with analytics tools like PowerBI and Smartsheet, and you will be encouraged to self-learn these technologies while troubleshooting issues as they arise.

This internship offers you the unique opportunity to collaborate with project managers and PMO leadership, brainstorming crucial metrics and insights for various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create informative dashboards and reports using data from New Product Development processes.
• Collaborate with project management leadership to identify valuable information for stakeholders.
• Engage in self-directed learning of analytics software such as PowerBI, Tableau and/or Smartsheet.
• Conduct online research to resolve issues and enhance analytical outputs.
• Maintain professional conduct and integrity in all interactions with team members and leadership.Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college pursuing a degree in Economics, Mathematics, STEM, Business, or a related field, with good academic standing.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects, demonstrating a strong attention to detail.
• Genuine passion for data analytics and data science.
• Proactive self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong critical thinking abilities, capable of approaching problems from various perspectives.
• Resourceful in overcoming obstacles and troubleshooting issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, with a strong desire to learn PowerBI, Smartsheet, or Tableau.
• Ability to convey complex concepts into clear and intuitive insights, both verbally and through visual presentations (dashboards, PowerPoint, etc.).

Position Details:

• Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, following a hybrid work model (mix of on-site and remote work).
• Internship duration: May to August 2025, with flexibility for varying summer dates.
• Transportation and housing arrangements for the on-site location are the intern's responsibility.
