I&E QA/QC Inspector

Your Job

The I&E Field QA/QC is key to our electrical, instrumentation, and controls construction in our field jobsites.

This role oversees our sub-contractor performing the work to ensure the activities are consistent with OPD procedures and adhere to quality and safety expectations.

What You Will Do

• Steward for OPD safety culture and leadership.

• Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with specifications, codes, and best engineering practices throughout construction.

• Inspect I&E field construction for compliance of Clients specifications, OPD test procedures, QA/QC, and state and local standards.

• Inspect all subcontractor installations to ensure they are within OPD quality standards and customer specifications.

• Create punch lists as needed and follow through to ensure all items are closed out in a timely manner.

• Assemble reports, update the loop, and power checklists based on sub-contractor progress.

• Assist in plant commissioning and start-up activities as needed.

• Oversee materials; ensure that vendors are following OPD best practices onsite, and that subcontractor is following OPD materials check-out procedures.

• Liaise between field document control to ensure all required redlines on documentation has been acquired for the issuance of job books.

• Willing to travel to other locations for bid-walks or walk-downs as needed.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in supervision

• Experience in quality management roles

• Progressive career experience working in industrial I&E construction

What Will Put You Ahead

• State Licensed Electrician

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field

• NCCER certified Industrial electrician
