Production and Logistics Specialist

Are you a detail-oriented and results-driven professional with a passion for logistics, inventory management, and supplier coordination? We're looking for a Production and Logistics Specialist to play a key role in optimizing our supply chain and ensuring seamless material flow.

This is an exempt position, with a salary range of $65,000-$75,000 (DOE).

Work hours are M-F, from 7 am-4 pm.

( Only qualified local candidates in the Rock Hill, SC area will be considered) .

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

As the Production and Logistics Specialist, you will oversee the storage and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, loading dock, and storage areas.

You will manage assigned commodities by establishing and maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring cost containment and reduction, and supporting new product introductions and related projects.

Additionally, you will source new suppliers and foster the continuous development of existing ones.

This role also involves supporting the planning and scheduling processes to enhance operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Directs and coordinates cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.


* Identifies and resolves discrepancies between inventory records.


* Assembles shop order packets and picks parts as needed.


* Oversees the proper placement of materials in designated racks, shelves, or bins.


* Maintains records of unfilled orders and tracks order status.


* Prepares bills of lading and coordinates shipments when necessary.


* Manages supplier relationships, negotiating price, delivery, quality, and service levels.


* Conducts supplier reviews and evaluations based on quality, on-time delivery, and cost competitiveness.


* Resolves supplier performance issues impacting order fulfillment (e.g., nonconforming material returns, late deliveries, cost increases).


* Initiates and manages Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs), ranging from simple to complex.
