Essential Position Functions:
• The CFO works with the COO and CEO to establish financial and strategic goals for the company.
• Oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution.
• Study long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales.
• Responsibilities include short and long-range financial planning and policies, accounting practices and procedures, evaluating past financial performance.
• Establish and cultivate working relationships with accountants, banks, and other vendors.
• Understands key performance drivers.
Perform analysis of actual results to forecast and advise the leadership team of proactive actions to ensure that the team achieves its targets and is positioned to achieve its long-term strategic goals.
• Oversees all aspects of financial planning and reporting, including the controller function, accounting, and tax to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for review of financial statements for Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc.
including Route Sales COP’s, Southern Cal Transport, Fresh Creative Foods, and St.
Clair Foods.
• Manages the organization's cash flow and oversees any investment activity.
Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated spending decisions.
• Involvement in review and approval of annual marketing budget and annual capital expenditures requests.
• Develops and implements financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensures continued compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Develops and advises on costing strategies, including setting annual standards.
• Leads financial analysis and due diligence of mergers and acquisitions.
• Responsible for aligning departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
